For three nights, what seemed like everyone in Stone Town had congregated at Forodhani Gardens, feasting and showing off their Eid clothes. The crowd of joyful families and friends spilled out of the gardens and into the road along the seafront.
Every woman had on at least one article of bedazzled clothing.

Children got balloons to celebrate and add even more color to the festivities.
Even if you’re not a street food person, Forodhani by night is a must visit when you come to Stone Town. Take in the smells and people watch. Eid night celebrations at Forodhani, however, are truly something to behold.
