Khadija Farah is a self-taught photojournalist from Nairobi, Kenya. She has traveled to several African countries documenting issues around climate change, women’s health, migration, and human rights. Khadija is also interested in stories about ethical travel, religious festivals, and food as a cornerstone of cultural expression.
Khadija participated the first Women Photograph mentorship program in 2017 and was part of the 2020 Lit List by Authority Collective. She is a member of World Press Photo's African Photojournalism Database (APJD).
Her work has appeared in TIME Magazine, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Le Monde, CNN, and more. Khadija has also worked with various NGOs such as Oxfam and Action Aid.
